Award-winning Mid Wales distillery In the Welsh Wind is welcoming visitors to its open weekend on November 27 and 28, between 10am and 5pm on both days.
Visitors will be able to join tours of the distillery at Tanygroes, near Cardigan, sample award-winning gins and take part in gin tasting.
The bar will be open for gin and tonics and visitors will have the chance to find out more about the distillery’s story so far and what’s in store for the future.
Pre-bookable Gin Blending Experiences https://inthewelshwind.co.uk/collections/experiences/products/
gin-blending-experience will be available in the Gin Lab and distillery owner Ellen Wakelam will be taking part in a question and answer session on both days.
“We’re really looking forward to showing people around the distillery so they can find out what’s going on and what we’re planning for the future,” said Ellen. “We’ve got some great activities lined up and we hope there will be something for everyone!
“We took over the Gogerddan Arms in early 2019 but, with the renovations and then COVID, we haven’t been able to welcome the public as we would like to. Now, we’re confident that with precautions in place, this will be an interesting, enjoyable and safe event for the community.”
Alongside gin and spirit related activities within the distillery, visitors will be able to purchase a selection of hot food from the Tresaith Beach Grill, and fresh ground coffee from Second Chance Caravan.
Entry is free, although visitors are asked to book online at https://inthewelshwind.co.uk/products/distillery-open-weekend if they know when they are going to come. This will help the team keep the event COVID safe. Those who have booked will be prioritised if the distillery becomes too busy.
