A vibrant Spring Fair held on the green in front of Oriel Davies Gallery in Newtown at the weekend has been declared a big success.
For places to visit and things to do during the Easter school holidays and Easter Bank Holiday weekend (April 15-18), we’ve put together a round-up of events in Mid Wales to put a spring in your step. For more inspiration go to www.visitmidwales.co.uk
A new, Welsh Government funded project working with young people in Newtown to explore issues around climate change has been launched this week.
Newtown has secured £723,000 of investment from the Welsh Government to launch a series of local partnership projects to improve the wellbeing and resilience of people and businesses in the town.
Oriel Davies Gallery has been collaborating with young people from North Powys, artist Erin Hughes, Open Newtown and Andrew Evans Landscapes to create an inspirational large-scale drawing in the centre of Newtown.
The drawing, named Landscape Lines, depicts a sun within a landscape and has been made using a pitch line marking machine. It can be found in the green space opposite the gallery (Gallery Green).
