“The collection belonged to a late collector who was a dealer in South East England in the 1970s,” explained Alexander Clement, Halls Fine Art’s Asian art specialist. “We are delighted that his sister has now decided to ask us to sell the collection for her.”
The quality auction will also include a collection from Staffordshire of pottery, porcelain, bronzes and gilt bronze figures valued at between £15,000 and £20,000 and an array of Chinese blue and white porcelain and Japanese pieces from a Worcestershire home, valued at in excess of £5,000.
