A collection of Caughley, Worcester and John Rose Coalport valued at up to £10,000 has been consigned to the next ceramics auction at Shropshire’s leading fine art auction house in June.
The collection, which belongs to a London collector, will go under the hammer at Halls Fine Art’s British and Continental ceramics and glass, paintings and prints auction at the Battlefield saleroom in Shrewsbury on June 18.
Potential stars of the collection are a rare Caughley Thorny Rose mug which carries an estimate of between £400 and £600 and a very rare Caughley ‘Contemplation’ fan-shaped dish at between £300 and £400.
